Global Precision

Activating your warranty

It takes about two minutes, and you only do it once per device.

How to activate

  1. Scan the QR code

Point your phone's camera at the QR code on the box and tap the link. No QR code? Go to warranty.globalprecision.com.my

  2. Enter your serial number

It's printed on the device itself, on the box, and on your warranty card — usually 6–9 characters.

Don't worry about spaces, dashes or capital letters. We sort that out for you.
Bought two hearing aids? You'll be asked for both serial numbers, so have both devices to hand.
  3. Fill in your details

Your full name as on your NRIC or passport, your country, your NRIC or passport number, and your mobile number. Email is optional.

Tick the consent box and press Activate. That's it — you'll see a confirmation screen.

If you saw a message on screen

Find the one you saw. None of them mean you've done anything wrong.

"Serial number does not exist in our system"

The number hasn't reached us yet, or there's a typo.

Try: check each character against the device — 0 and O, 1 and I are easy to mix up. Try the serial on the device itself rather than the box. If you bought it very recently, wait a day. Still stuck? Call your branch — they can fix it in minutes and you can try again straight away.
"This device has not been released for activation yet"

Your purchase hasn't been fully processed on our side yet — usually the invoice isn't complete.

What to do: call the branch where you bought it. Nothing is wrong with your device, and nothing is wrong with what you did.
"We need to check this serial number before it can be activated"

Two of our records mention this same serial number, so we want a person to confirm which one is yours before registering it. This protects you — it stops your device being registered to somebody else.

What to do: call your branch. It's usually corrected the same day, and you can then activate normally.
"This warranty is missing its start date"

A detail is missing on our records — not something you can fix.

What to do: call your branch and mention this message. Usually corrected the same day.
"This warranty has already been activated"

Someone has already registered this device — often a family member, or the branch doing it for you.

What to do: if you weren't expecting that, call your branch to check whose name it's under.
"This order has two devices — both serial numbers are required"

You bought a pair, so both need registering together.

What to do: find the second device and enter its serial too. Both are then covered.
"This order is no longer active"

This order was cancelled or replaced on our records.

What to do: call your branch. If you're holding the device, they'll sort it out.

If the box was empty, or the number looked wrong

"Enter your serial number."

The box was empty when you pressed Continue. On a phone the keyboard sometimes closes before the number goes in, and reloading the page clears it.

What to do: type the serial number in again and press Continue. Nothing has been saved yet, so you can try as often as you like.
"Enter a valid serial number."

What was typed is too short to be a serial number — usually the model name, the battery size, or a few characters left behind after a correction.

What to do: look for the longer code, usually 6 to 9 letters and numbers, on the device itself, on the box, or on your warranty card. Spaces, dashes and capitals do not matter.
"Please complete all required fields."

One of the boxes on the details page is still empty or does not look right — most often the mobile number.

What to do: look for the box outlined in red and fill it in. Your mobile number must be the one you actually use; it is how the service centre reaches you.

If you have two hearing aids

"This order has two devices — please add the second serial number."

Your purchase was a pair, so both are registered together. A second box has appeared on the screen.

What to do: fetch the other hearing aid and type its serial number into the new box, then press Continue. Both are then covered.
"That is the same serial number twice — please enter the second device's serial."

The same number was typed into both boxes. Each hearing aid has its own number, and they are never the same.

What to do: look at the other device and read its number from there. If you only have one in front of you, come back when you have both — nothing is lost.
"These two serial numbers are not from the same order."

Both numbers are real, but our records show them as belonging to two different purchases.

What to do: check you are reading both numbers from the two devices in this purchase. If you are sure they are right, call your branch — this usually means a number was recorded against the wrong order, and they can put it right.

If it says it is already done, or something went wrong

"This confirmation was already used for a different warranty."

Your browser re-sent a page you had already submitted — usually after a back button, a refresh, or a tap that registered twice.

What to do: start again from the beginning rather than going back. If your warranty was already registered you will be told so, and there is nothing more to do.
"That email address will not be able to receive mail — please check it."

The address as typed cannot receive mail: usually a missing part after the @, or a full stop in the wrong place.

What to do: correct it, or clear the box and leave it empty. Email is optional — your mobile number is what matters.
"Please agree to the consent statement to activate."

The tick box near the bottom has not been ticked. We need your agreement before we can hold your details.

What to do: read the short statement and tick the box, then press Activate.
"Something went wrong. Please try again."

This one is ours, not yours. Something failed on our side and nothing was saved — your warranty is not registered yet.

What to do: wait a minute and try once more. If it fails again, call your branch and say you got this message: we are told automatically when it happens, and somebody is already looking at it. Please do not keep retrying.

Common questions

How do I find my serial number?
It's printed on the device itself — usually inside the battery compartment or on the body — and on the box and warranty card. Your branch can also look it up from your invoice.
Do I have to activate it?
It's strongly recommended. Without it we have no record linking the device to you, which makes a warranty claim slower and means you won't get service reminders at 6, 12 and 22 months.
My order has two hearing aids — what do I enter?
Both serial numbers, together, in one activation. Both devices are then covered.
What details do I need?
Your full name as on your NRIC or passport, your country, your NRIC or passport number, and your mobile number. Email is optional. There's no account to create and no password to remember.
When does my warranty start?
From the date of your invoice, not the date you activate. Activating registers the device to you; it doesn't change your coverage dates.
I'm not a Malaysian citizen — can I still activate?
Yes. Choose your country and enter your passport number instead of an NRIC.
Can someone activate on my behalf?
Yes — a family member or your branch can. Use your details, not theirs, so the reminders reach the right person.
I made a typo. Can I change it?
Yes — call your branch and they'll correct it.
What happens to my details?
They're used to register your warranty, contact you about your device, and send service reminders by WhatsApp. We don't sell them or use them for anything else.

Still stuck? Call your branch.
